Rough engine running.
Cause:
In some cases, misaligned engine mounting brackets can transmit unusual motor noises or vibrations into the vehicle's interior, particularly above 3,000 RPM.
Solution:
Check the alignment of the linkage. To do this, you need to remove the air filter housing and disconnect the power steering reservoir.
Check the motor mounts:
Are the screw heads flush with the motor side of the support arm?
Clearance between the support arm and motor housing: 12 - 14 mm?
Check the gearbox bearings:
Should the support arm be parallel to the bearing?
Clearance between the support arm and the gearbox housing: 18 - 20 mm?
If the alignment is incorrect:
Remove the plastic engine cover.
Mount the interceptor device.
Attach the carabiners.
Tighten the spindles securely.
Loosen the screws on the control arms.
Create an air gap of approximately 1 mm between the support arm and the console.
Adjust motor mounts.
Adjust the support arm to the motor mount/housing.
Move the unit towards the gearbox side.
Insert a spacer (approximately 13 mm) between the support arm and the bearing. Shift the assembly slightly towards the engine side.
Adjust the support arm to the motor console.
Create a gap of 8-12 mm between the motor console and the motor mount by aligning the screw heads flush with the support arm. Tighten the screws on the motor console to a torque of 80 + 12 Nm. Ensure that the support arm does not shift during this process.
Align and loosely screw the gearbox bearings together without applying tension.
Align the support arm parallel to the bearing.
Create a distance of approximately 18-20 mm between the bearing and the support arm.
Tighten the screws with a torque of 80 + 12 Nm, ensuring that the support arm does not shift during tightening.
The torque limit for the screws used in the generator bearings is not exceeded, so these screws can be reused.
Remove the spacer from the engine mount.
Detach the safety clips and remove the arresting device.
Install the engine cover, servo reservoir, and air filter.
Never loosen the fittings without using a suitable wrench or tool.
Tighten the support arm screws only when the air gap between the support arm and the console is approximately 1 mm. Tschüss
