Hello.
My A4 Avant quattro 2.5 TDI (AFB) just received a new vacuum actuator for the VTG adjustment and a new mass airflow sensor. Somehow, I have the impression that the shift points of the Tiptronic transmission have changed since then. The abundant torque (with MTM - 405 Nm) seems to be utilized less effectively, and it's shifting down more frequently.
Does anyone know of a possible connection, or does it seem like just a coincidence?
Thank you very much.
McLion.

After an engine replacement (internal combustion engine) and several mass airflow sensor replacements, I also contacted my workshop (the vehicle was about 3 years old and had approximately 175,000 km on the odometer, also with an AFB and Tiptronic transmission) to report that my Tiptronic transmission was 'jerky,' shifting more frequently than I remembered, and also exhibiting a significant 'thumping' sensation (as if there was a misalignment between the engine and the drivetrain) when I accelerated.
They then topped up the transmission oil and performed a reset of the shift control software. Since then, the car has been running a bit smoother.
Regards,
Felix.

Hello,
Even though it's a completely different transmission...
'I experienced this issue while I was having performance problems due to the mass airflow sensor (MAF) or the injection timing. It seemed to shift much more frequently, and I probably pressed the accelerator pedal harder because I wasn't getting the usual amount of power.'
Once everything was adjusted properly, I could drive more lazily again.
