Audi A5 2.7 TDI Multitronic: Common Problems

Regarding my issue:

The day before yesterday, I drove my A5 as usual, without any issues. While driving on a slight incline, I suddenly heard a somewhat louder noise coming from the engine/transmission area.
Consequently, the coupling disengaged, and the car rolled away.
Even after restarting the engine, absolutely nothing happened in either D (Drive) or S (Sport) mode, except that the engine revved up.

The transmission was removed yesterday, but it hasn't been inspected yet to determine the cause of the problem.

Do you have any idea, or has anyone else experienced this exact problem before?

I've read quite often that it could be ZMS, but I'm pretty clueless.

The Multitronic is arguably the worst automated transmission that the VW Group could have produced, and it sounds like it's experiencing a complete transmission failure.

I know that there are specialists in this forum who can repair these transmissions for a portable device. Do some research or ask around. With Audi, you'll only hear the term "AT," and that will cost you 6000 euros plus additional expenses.
