Hello everyone,

Is there a way to use VCDS to access and modify the settings for the cigarette lighter and/or other functions in an Audi A6 4G C7?
Programming 12-volt on-board sockets to be powered by the permanent power supply?

Thank you and best regards.

Hi,

To be honest, I have no idea. If it's possible, it should be programmable in control unit address 09 (body control module).
However, I'm surprised that the outlets don't have continuous power by default, as they do in the 4F model.

Best regards, Rainer.

Okay, I'm completely unsure about how Audi handles this. With some VW models, it's possible to flip the fuse in the fuse box so that it's connected to permanent power. I'd be very surprised if that's something that can be programmed.

My Mercedes has a jumper connector in the fuse box for that purpose.

For 4G functionality, the relay J807 needs to be removed and replaced with a jumper consisting of two 4.8mm flat connectors. However, this will bypass the power management system.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the relay is located in the rear right side panel, inside a relay holder.

I will then do that with the relay.

"I also did it by simply changing the fuse on my Passat B8. In theory, I could now drain the entire battery capacity. In practice, everything works fine, mainly because of the large battery (I have a built-in auxiliary heater) and the low power consumption (charging my phone/PC) when the engine is not running."

The battery management system should eventually turn off the igniter, right?

Sure, in the original configuration: Immediately.

If you bypass the relay, as suggested by Turbinchen, then the BMS (Battery Management System) will no longer be able to shut it off, even if the battery is completely discharged.

Greetings.
Sure, here's the translation:

"Guste" is a German word that means "gust" or "gust of wind." It can also be used to describe a sudden burst of something, such as laughter or anger.
