Please forgive me for the extremely stupid question .
The reason for my question is that I might want to install a 3-cylinder engine in a VW Beetle, and in that case, an injection pump (due to its size!) would be a reason not to do it.
So, regarding the pump-nozzle system, each nozzle has its own pump element. Because of the short distance (within the component) between the pump and the nozzle, a high pressure can be generated.
I thought so!
I guess I'll have something to tinker with for the next winter .
Now I just need to find a suitable gearbox and get the approval from the TÜV (German technical inspection agency).
