Hello everyone icon_smile.gif

Can someone explain what the value in the second field of measurement block 119 indicates on a TSI, and are there any target values for it?
"Actual adaptation value boost pressure control valve."

Thank you very much, and have a nice Sunday.

Greetings.

Hannes.

Hi,

No offense, but have you ever tried using Google Translate?

No, I didn't use Google Translate because I can translate it myself icon_razz.gif.

My question was more about the values that are displayed and what conclusions can be drawn from those values.
As far as I can tell, these values refer to the pressure adjustment of the turbocharger's boost control system and are used to compensate for deviations caused by aging and manufacturing tolerances, such as the spring in the pressure chamber of the wastegate.
Within what range should the readings be for a healthy sensor, assuming the preload of the wastegate pressure sensor is correct?
I'm currently trying to figure out if my adjustable pressure sensor is working correctly and if the preload is set properly, as there are no specific values provided by the manufacturer.
The maximum values I have logged so far were -48 mBar.

Greetings.

Hi,

You're absolutely right; it's an adaptation value used to compensate for tolerances within the control system.

It will be difficult to determine the "normal" adaptation value, as it varies from vehicle to vehicle due to the different tolerances that are utilized.
If you had the membrane areas and spring constants of both pressure chambers/springs available, it would be possible to calculate the required actuation pressure for each chamber.

Another option would be, after you have already obtained a measurement of -48 mbar...
If you have the ability, you could perform a test run comparing the target boost pressure with the actual boost pressure.
If you find the -48 mbar value within the difference between the two values, then you know the relationship of the value and where you should adjust it.

Wenn es so wäre, dann könnte man das nachvollziehen. DYou are right.
The adaptation value might also refer to the pressure applied to the pressure sensor. I haven't found a definitive answer on this yet. -48 mBar at the boost pressure would be negligible. However, for the control pressure, which is applied to the spring by the N75 valve, it has a significantly greater impact.
