Sealing AGR: I've finally found and tested a simple and cost-effective solution for the leaking AGR cooler bypass valve on CR-V6-TDIs.
The constant smell of exhaust fumes, especially during the regeneration process, is unpleasant.
So:
- Remove the pressed-in lever (remove the pressed-on collar with a Dremel).
- Remove the lever.
- verschandeln the wave and seat in the AGR cooler.
- Press in the heat-resistant oil seal, size 8x14x4 (part number 020311108A).
- Cut M3 threads into the shaft.
- Reattach the lever and enjoy.
The shaft seal costs €6.95 and 30 minutes of labor.
On the other hand, a new AGR cooler costs 390 euros or more, and requires approximately 8 hours of labor.
Best regards,
Martin
