VCDS: Number of Applications

I purchased the HEX-V2 in the 3 VIN version.
What does it mean when the software "calculates" the "applications"?
Is it stated anywhere that these "applications" are limited?

Yes, thank you for the information.
I had already entered the registration details during my first attempt. The bottom row for entering the ID was not visible on my notebook screen, and if there was a confirmation email, it was likely filtered out by the gmx spam filter.
I just entered it again and am now waiting for the confirmation email.
