Hello everyone,
I have an A6 from 2006 with a 3.0 TDI BMK engine. For some time now, I've noticed that the injectors are likely clogged. I've already used several additives, but with little success, and even driving at high speeds on the highway hasn't helped much. Now, I have a question.

In principle, can the injectors, or CR piezo injectors, be cleaned in an ultrasonic bath for the 3.0 TDI engine?

I have successfully cleaned PD-TDI injectors using an ultrasonic cleaner and the appropriate cleaning solution (from VW/Tickopur TR13) in the past. I would now like to know if it is also possible to clean the tips of the CR injectors from the 3.0 TDI in an ultrasonic cleaner, as was done with PD-TDI engines in the past.

Here are some more values that show the development of "coking" in the engine:

Injectors replaced at approximately 140,000 km in January 2019:
MWB 72: 14.0 / 18.0 / 0.0
MWB 73: 20.0 / 28.0 / 16.0
MWB 74: 6.0 / 13.0 / 2.0
MWB 75: 14.0 / 20.0 / 0.0
MWB 76: 18.0 / 24.0 / 8.0
MWB 77: 18.0 / 22.0 / 0.0

Injectors replaced at approximately 160,000 km in July 2019:
MWB 72: 18.0 / 18.0 / 8.0
MWB 73: 18.0 / 32.0 / 18.0
MWB 74: 16.0 / 22.0 / 8.0
MWB 75: 22.0 / 26.0 / 10.0
MWB 76: 26.0 / 30.0 / 14.0
MWB 77: 16.0 / 24.0 / 14.0

Injectors replaced at approximately 180,000 km in December 2019:
MWB 72: 24.0 / 22.0 / 10.0
MWB 73: 20.0 / 32.0 / 24.0
MWB 74: 16.0 / 18.0 / 8.0
MWB 75: 24.0 / 28.0 / 10.0
MWB 76: 30.0 / 32.0 / 18.0
MWB 77: 14.0 / 18.0 / 8.0

It would be great if I could get some feedback...

Hello,

The switching times are more dependent on the wear of the switching valves than on the spray pattern of the nozzle itself.

Don't think that cleaning will improve the timing of the injectors; however, the spray pattern of the nozzle itself might benefit.

You can't tell if the injector nozzles are clogged by looking at the timing values, but by comparing the lambda values at full throttle. A higher lambda value indicates less nitrous oxide injection.
