The described problem only occurs under load. It does not occur when the system is idling, nor in other operating states. The higher the gear and the heavier the load, the more noticeable it becomes... Also, in gears 5 and 6, after 3000 RPM, nothing much happens except for a slight jerking. You can try the following: Re-calibrate all injectors (IMA-ISA). Bring the engine to operating temperature. On a suitable stretch of road (e.g., a quiet country road or a nearby section of highway), accelerate the vehicle to approximately 100 km/h. While in 4th/5th gear (or in gears 5-7 for DSG transmissions), transition to coasting mode as smoothly as possible by gently releasing the accelerator pedal. Allow the engine speed to drop as much as possible, ideally without using the brakes, to approximately 1300 rpm (or as low as possible). Repeat this process 5-10 times. After turning off the engine, the engine control unit (ECU) must remain inactive for at least 30 seconds. Allow for a warm-up period. (Avoid quickly switching the ignition on/off (position 15) within the first 30 seconds after turning off the engine using the ignition key!).
Best regards, Dago.

This procedure once helped me eliminate the jerking issue in a CAY engine. The instructions for this come directly from VW. It involves the engine control unit (ECU). It learns and stores the driving behavior, so I suspect that it might change or overwrite the existing behavior.
It's a different engine, but it's worth a try.
Best regards, Dago.
