A4 8K Service Mode for Ignition/Engine Warning Buzzer

In the A4 8K and similar models, Mr. Audi, in his infinite wisdom, included a warning beep that sounds when the engine or ignition is on, and goes off when the driver's door is opened, annoying you for half a minute. There is no permanent fix available through coding or modification; only a temporary solution by pressing a button on the windshield wiper stalk.
During a revision of the window lifter, I installed a workaround that is suitable for service purposes. The effect is triggered by closing switch F2 in the driver's door lock. I disconnected the corresponding contact at the door control unit and connected it to a new wire via a suitable small input/output switch that fits into the driver's door control panel (picture on the bottom left, next to the switch for the rear windows). A cable with a contact that fits the connector housing is available as a replacement part.
When the switch is open, everything is quiet. You then lose all functions associated with the door lock switch, such as the display in the FIS (multifunction display), the warning for forgotten accessories, and the interior light turning on when the door is opened. The car doesn't detect if a door is opened after it has been unlocked, meaning it will automatically relock the door after approximately 1 minute. Therefore, one should not unintentionally leave the key in the car and then close the door.

In the STG 46 (comfort control unit).
- Adjustment > Channel 98 > from 1 to 0 (digit). Okay, so the beeping sound when the ignition is on is now gone.

- Encoding (enter access permission first): Change byte 15 from 47 to 4F (or from 01000111 to 01001111). Then it will work even with the engine running.

Neither is documented.
During the initial test, it is possible that the ignition will shut off.
