Three faulty control units within a year

I have had three Steuergerät failures on my Sharan in the last 12 months.
It all started with the "Radio"

The final errors cannot be deleted, so they remain in the trash.

Now, regarding my question, could there be a deeper issue here? Power supply? This is 14.7V when the engine is running?
Does anyone here experience their engine control units (ECUs) failing?

Hi Christian,

kenne ich nicht. Die Frage ist, ist die Ursache Überspannung im Bordnetz oder ein Wasser/Feuchtigkeitsproblem?
Letzteres sollte sich ja relativ leicht feststellen lassen.

Wenn Du ein HEX-NET hast, könntest Du die Bordspannung im Fahrbetrieb relativ einfach loggen.
Oder halt per Laptop.

Denkbar wären auch aufgescheuerte Kabel im Baum welche sporadisch Kurzschlüsse verursachen und beim Nicht-mehr-Kurzschluß Spannungsspitzen im Bordnetz verursachen.

Auch solltest Du mal nachdenken, ob etwas am Radio geändert wurde, die Pinbelegung vom ISO-Stecker ist nicht genormt und es wäre denkbar, unbeabsichtigt z.B. einen Lautsprecherausgang auf den CAN oder K-Line zu legen...
