It takes some getting used to.
Regarding tire pressure:
'Our Passat feels like it's floating' with this tire pressure. It drives well with a pressure between 2.0-2.3 bar when the tires are cold; anything more feels uncomfortable (STOCK TIRE SIZE: 195 R15).
'I'm still using the original, low-quality tires on the front, but I've already switched to Michelin tires on the rear. With winter tires from Continental, the car feels quieter and more comfortable!'

There's probably some kind of solenoid valve there that's somehow directing the vacuum. Try tapping it gently, or maybe it's stuck.
As I said: it might be something else entirely.
This morning, while driving on the A65 (which was mostly slightly downhill), I felt like the car had more power than usual when I reached 180 km/h. Only time will tell if that's really the case.

Hello,
Here's the promised result:
After driving approximately 250 kilometers on the highway last night, here's what I believe is the final impression:
Translation:
Acceleration: The car starts to accelerate around 1300 RPM, pulls strongly up to approximately 190-195 km/h, and reaches a top speed of around 200 km/h at 4060 RPM.
The boost or pressure of the turbocharger is no longer comparable to what it was before. When the car accelerates from approximately 140, 150, 160, or even 170 km/h, it starts to pull, not like a Porsche, but it accelerates smoothly and consistently.
Fuel consumption after the update: at speeds of 140/150 km/h, the display shows approximately 5.5-6.2 liters (previously, it showed over 6.8 liters).
The consumption isn't much lower, it's just fun to accelerate now, but if I ease off the gas while maintaining the speed, it uses significantly less fuel => it must have something to do with the turbocharger being engaged now.
That might mean:
A) Possibly, the stuck electromagnetic valve for the EGR system, which was disconnected a few days ago, is now allowing for better airflow!!!!????? (A fixed value instead of a variable one may mean that the problem of the known air-fuel mixture in the PD system is being mitigated?)
B) The electromagnetic EGR valve may be 'stuck'.
C) The electromagnetic valve, possibly related to the LLM (likely a specific component or system), might be 'stuck' and be transmitting some kind of 'counter-pressure' (or not, function unknown).
That's my opinion, as described above. Nothing has been proven, but it helped me (hopefully permanently).
My suggestion: Just tap on the solenoid valve! It might help, and it won't cost anything.

Since Thursday morning, I've been experiencing the same problem again, as usual.
Weak acceleration, somehow less power, it doesn't seem to pull very well...
I'm slowly getting annoyed with this car.
By the way, the magnetic valve was supposedly tested.
According to the workshop's instructions, the valve will be checked to see if it's making a rattling noise, or if it's not.
(It had never made that noise before! It always switched on with the vacuum.)
Was if the solenoid valve was actually stuck?
Good advice is expensive once again.

The only thing I can recommend with a clear conscience is to try to go to a large workshop, but if possible, speak to someone who knows what they're talking about and explain the problem.
Make sure to have it scanned with a VAG-Com diagnostic tool, and it *must* be the newer model; the older ones won't detect intermittent errors.
I'm still experiencing intermittent power loss, sometimes with no acceleration at all, and a fuel consumption of around 9 liters on the highway. At other times, it's almost normal, with a fuel consumption of around 7 liters on the highway!
Recently, a sporadic mass airflow sensor (MAF) failure was diagnosed in my car. I suspect the issue is with the wiring harness connected to the MAF sensor or the control valve located above it, which is on the left inner fender of my Passat.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of funds, I am unable to have the error investigated again at this time.
PS: I've now driven almost 98,000 km. Does anyone know how much a 'major' service costs for a Passat AJM PD with 85 kW?

A colleague has the same car with the same engine (Passat Variant). Without any modifications, it reached a top speed of 200 km/h (approximately 124 mph) at around 4200 rpm. The AJM engine becomes less responsive above 3200 rpm, and above 3500 rpm, it requires patience, which is normal.

Max, approximately 185 (km/h, speedometer reading).
For me, it was the mass airflow sensor.
Since then, things have been taking off like a rocket. Of course, also thanks to the ATU box.
According to the speedometer, it's running at approximately 215 km/h again. The actual top speed is 205-208 km/h (according to the climate control display).

Okay, unfortunately, I'm experiencing similar problems with my Golf IV TDI/GTI 6-speed. It runs really well from around 1600 RPM, but starting around 2200-2500 RPM, the power gradually decreases. The top speed is approximately 190 (sometimes 200). I previously had a Passat 3B TDI with 110 horsepower – I wish I had that engine again...
The lack of power above 2500 RPM is so significant that a higher gear in the lower RPM range performs much better!
'I've also noticed that when I slightly ease off the accelerator once I'm in the higher RPM range, the engine seems to pull a bit better – meaning there's a noticeable increase in power.'
The mass airflow sensor (MAF) and the throttle position sensor (TPS) have been replaced, and I personally cleaned all the conceivable connectors.
The problem still exists  - just like for many thousands of others. There must be a solution, right???

...and it's called: first, completely check all engine data using VAGCOM - and, above all, interpret the values with understanding!
If, for example, the air mass value is too low despite a new mass airflow sensor and correct boost pressure, the engine may be experiencing breathing problems: for instance, due to a clogged intake manifold (due to soot and oil buildup) and/or debris from a damaged catalytic converter blocking the exhaust.
Possible causes include: incorrectly adjusted camshaft, clogged diesel filter and/or air filter, possibly a malfunctioning pre-lift pump, etc. Gruß Ulf
