Hello,
Just a random thought, by the way.
I once glanced at the G-meter in a glider that was designed for aerobatics, belonging to our aviation club. Now I've got this idea to retrofit a similar device, but with a shorter and more sensitive scale, into my diesel-powered airplane.
'That way, I always know what's going on. 0.5 - 0.7 G in second gear while passing 2000 RPM should probably be normal. That would always be a good indicator, without having to do a complicated dyno test.'
Has anyone done this before?
Okay, stupid idea, but I'll stick with it .

That would also have to work when impacting an obstacle...
Can someone test this ?

It does it .
It works from -6 G to 0 G.
You can probably get it for 100 euros.
Problem: The scale and sensitivity for measuring the car are rather inadequate, and it only works with the vertical axis, not the longitudinal or transverse axes, I believe (I'm just guessing).
-then you would have to install it vertically, perhaps in the dashboard,
A great HUD illuminates.

Airbag Output Test.
Yes, and I have tested it before, but unfortunately, I didn't have a G-knife on board at the time.
Best regards, WarLord.

'These sensors, which are installed in vehicles with ESP (Electronic Stability Program), are relatively sensitive. Unfortunately, they are also quite expensive.'

Airbag Output Test.
If you do that in the airbag control unit, nothing will happen .
You should only attempt this on a Touareg (or other newer models), as it's a terrible job to get the car running again afterwards.

The crash signal triggers a fuse to blow near the battery, but to reset it, you almost have to remove the seat, which requires a special tool...
Meanwhile, it's known how it works, but when it wasn't known yet... well, at least one Touareg vehicle was just sitting there for a while.

Could you please check if you can find any Bosch G-sensors anywhere?
Otherwise, it might be worth inquiring in the measurement technology industry, as there are a large number of micro-mechanical sensors available with digital or linear analog output.
