Hi,

I've noticed the following symptoms on the few warm days we've had:

Coolant loss approximately 300g --> Refilled to 700g (basic Climatronic).
At high ambient temperatures:
The air conditioning compressor intermittently switches off and then turns back on when the engine reaches idle speed. After prolonged use, there is no cooling at low engine speeds, but good cooling at engine speeds above approximately 2500 rpm. Unfortunately, I haven't checked whether the compressor itself is actually shutting off during these periods.
No error codes found in the system's memory.

I finally went to Ford, but after a long negotiation with the salesperson, they couldn't find any fault.
I suspect the issue is related to high temperatures, as the problem only occurred when the temperature was high (possibly because I only use the air conditioning then?). We're currently around 17 degrees Celsius in the north. However, I can't wait until next summer for the repair, as the warranty will expire by then. How or where can I obtain a high ambient temperature? Are there any workshops or air conditioning specialists that have a 'heat chamber' for testing air conditioning systems?
Could someone potentially identify a problem based on the symptoms?

Thank you and best regards.

Sirecki.

Hello,

How was the amount of missing product (300g) determined?
Do you have any pressure readings for the system?
Tschüss

According to ATU, the amount would be determined during the evacuation and refilling process.
I don't have any pressure readings, but could I read them out using VAG-COM?

Best regards, Sirecki.

It could also be due to the pressure in the system being too high.

The cause is usually a dirty capacitor or a faulty fan (possibly also the control circuit).
