Hi.

I often drive around the city at very low RPMs; the TDI engine has enough power to handle it.

Recently, I noticed the following (G3 Variant TDI 1Z, manufactured in 1996, 135,000 km):

When it's running at approximately 1000 RPM and under load, there's a squeaking sound coming from the engine compartment that is synchronized with the motor's vibrations (which I can hear as the driver through open windows).

The timing belt tensioner is new. According to the sticker on the rear swingarm, the timing belt was replaced at 91,000 km.

Are there any typical "little birds" that cause this chirping?

Greetings.
Martin.

Hello,

Have you checked the engine mounts?

Hi,

How about the spooling mechanism for this reel? Mine has been defective several times.

- How can I check the engine mounts?

The only thing I've noticed about it is the "popping" sound of the front hydraulic bearing when starting up quickly.

- The timing belt tensioner roller and its tensioner are new (sorry, I thought they were always replaced together).

Or maybe it's only the tensioner that is new (which it definitely is), and they put the old belt on again icon_evil.gif.

Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.
