"Hi, I've been having this problem for a long time where the ABS light won't turn off. The error code in the diagnostic memory says 'Hydraulic pump signal outside of tolerance.' I've now found a used pump that is 100% working, but I've heard from people that you need to read the old code from the ABS control unit and write it to the new ABS control unit. Is that true? How do you do that? Can it be done with VAG Com?"
Thank you.
P.S.: It's known that the fuses can oxidize, so I swapped them around, but the problem is still there. I'll buy some new ones and see if that fixes it.
Thank you.
Martin.

"Or can you give me some tips on how to narrow down the problem? How can I check if the ABS hydraulic pump is working correctly? Or the control unit? I know that all the wheel sensors showed the same speed when checked with VAG COM."
Thank you.
Martin.

Is there no option in the VAG-COM ABS unit to perform an output test? This would involve activating all actuators sequentially.
It might only be available in the full version.
Regards,
Guste.
