"Recently, I've been encountering this error message:"
Address 03: Brake Electronics Label file: DRV\1J0-907-37x-ABS.lbl
Part number: 1J0 907 379.
Component: ABS ITTAE 20 GI V00
Encoding: 01901
Operating number: WSC 01901
VCID: 6ED5F8BD2ADCBC310B-4AB4
"One error found:"
01276 - ABS hydraulic pump (V64)
16-00 - Signal out of tolerance.
So far, I have checked the connector to the SG for corrosion, but I didn't find anything. Is the pump actually defective, or is there another possible cause? Viele Grüße
Andreas

The relays inside the ABS module are also prone to corrosion. Gruß

Have you checked the blade fuses on the battery? VCDS

Hello.
Is that the same Polo as last time?
Have you compared the speed signals from the sensor rings yet?
Are they stable in terms of their values, or do they fluctuate?
I think the segment rings are dirty/rusty.
Most likely, the rear components are the same for the 6N Polo as they are for the Lupo.

Forget the pump; the error indicates a faulty sensor ring on the rear axle. It's not the sensor itself, but the ring (part number 191614149) on the hub that rotates.
Why I say that.
Because our Lupo TDI had exactly this problem for a long time (about a year).
After restarting, the error disappeared, but it reappeared at a speed of slightly over 20 km/h, just like it did for you.
I tried replacing all sorts of things without success, but it wasn't until I replaced the rear right wheel bearing that I noticed the damage to the ring. After replacing the entire hub, including the ring, the problem disappeared and never came back.
"Our Lupo has drum brakes on the rear. The adjuster wedge had become stuck and seized up... Now, when the handbrake is engaged, the lever where the cable is attached moves too much and rubs against the sensor ring."
Consequently, the small gaps in the ring are compressed, and the wheel speed signal is no longer accurate.
This can also happen due to the accumulation of metallic debris, or due to corrosion of the ring caused by age.
It could also be on the front, as the ring is also made of thin sheet metal, which is prone to rusting away.
To make your search easier, use VCDS. First, go to the ABS control unit and find the measuring block (MB) where you can see the four fields representing all four speeds. Start the engine, start driving, and begin at a slow speed, gradually increasing the speed.
The good signals are consistently uniform and rise synchronously, while the value of the faulty ring fluctuates sporadically and usually lags behind.
The ring is available individually under the part number listed above for 8-10€, but I would always recommend replacing both at the same time.

To do that, the SG (presumably a component) needs to be removed and opened. I haven't done that yet.

Both the fuse protecting the wiring harness and the 20A fuse in the fuse holder, which is located in front of and not on top of the battery in this model, are okay.

Yes, I had completely forgotten that I posted that back then .
I will perform the measurements using VCDS at the appropriate time. I'm surprised that, even after almost a year, the ABS hasn't reported any errors. The car is driven daily. Viele Grüße
Andreas

Hello.
The drum brakes, in particular, can deposit a significant amount of dirt into the gaps of the sensor ring. If enough large, ferromagnetic particles (rust, wear debris, etc.) distort the signal and are then flung out, this can create an error pattern, or the error may disappear again.
Why don't you remove the two drums and take a look? It should only take a maximum of 5 minutes per side .

I suppose I'll have to. I don't understand why the error can't be cleared then. In the case you described, I would expect the error to be clearable and reappear on the next trip. However, that's not what's happening here. The error is constantly active and cannot be cleared. Viele Grüße
Andreas

As recommended, I checked measurement block 1. All speed sensors are responding without delays and consistently. In this case, that is definitely not the problem. Viele Grüße

Hi,
I suspect the error message refers to the pump located within the hydraulic block, which houses the pump valves.
Best regards, Rainer.

Every year, again...
Apparently, this error occurs almost every year around the same time and then disappears on its own.
Yesterday, the ABS warning light went off after starting the car, as it should. Let's see how long it stays off.
Due to a lack of time, I haven't been able to replace the hydraulic block yet. Viele Grüße
Andreas
