Hello everyone,
I'm back... and I've only skimmed through tons of posts... you guys were really busy!
"My TDI is like that now too... it was allowed to tow a 600 kg caravan (as Bertil said, a cute little one, or something similar) along the country roads to the Baltic Sea."
The consumption figures were quite accurate - it ended up being 7.8 liters, and that was on country roads with many small towns, hills, and, not least, longer stretches with headwinds.
The only thing that was noticeable was that the noise (a clicking sound, probably vibrations in the exhaust area) that I described some time ago was, of course, more noticeable at higher loads, especially when going uphill, but that apparently wasn't critical according to the discussion we had back then (that noise). Otherwise, no hill was too steep to reach 80 in 5th gear

.
And... while driving around Rügen, it became really clear again how good it is for those who don't live in a big city. Despite not exactly driving economically (without a trailer), I used much less fuel on the beautiful roads of Rügen than I do in the city, even when driving consciously to save fuel. Of course, that's logical, but still...
Best regards,
Jan.
