To the caravan enthusiasts: A mirror

Hello everyone,

especially those driving around the area in cars belonging to Dutch condominiums .

Gibt es fuer die Ibiza-Spiegel (sind IMO baugleich zum Golf 4 und zum neuen Passat) solche aufsteckbaren Verlaengerungen als Zusatzspiegel? If so, where?

I'm actually looking for something like that because I find it much more gentle on the car than the parts you attach to the fenders. And since the trailer is quite narrow at 2 meters wide, it should be sufficient from a visibility point of view (with my Passat, it even works with the trailer without using mirrors in some cases, but the Ibiza is narrower).

Hello Jan,

Atu sells clip-on mirrors where a type of screw clamp is attached between the mirror housing (plastic at the top) and the mirror glass. These work quite well in my A3.
However, there must be a gap of at least 3 mm between the mirror glass and the frame, and the surface of the frame should not be too curved, otherwise it may break when clamped.
The price must have been around 70 DM about 4-5 years ago, but I don't remember exactly.

The "screw terminals" are rubberized, and so far I haven't been able to detect any scratches.
I've probably attached and detached those things at least 50 times.

Hi Jan,

I just received the information. So... for example, there's an exterior mirror that is attached to the original mirror using clips. It's also supposed to be rubberized. The manufacturer is called Hagus. I also have the part number on hand, just in case.
Nun das wichtigste.... das Teil kostet 34,20 € incl. Fairy tale tax.
Well... if you're interested, just keep in mind that shipping costs will be added.
