so THIS is a standard 1.8T 150hp engine in a Passat Variant...
What would likely happen to the maximum speed if you added 20-30 horsepower?
exactly... nothing... unless you push the machine too hard...

Hi,
It's a shame you can't see the MFA in the picture... there's probably a huge vortex of something swirling around in the tank.
Best regards,

19.6 l / 100km
Average speed: 176 km/h.
from the Austrian border via the A3 motorway, up to just after the Württemberg-Baden border.
values INCLUDE 35km of country road at a steady 100km/h, and in Nuremberg, only 20km/h over the speed limit...

Hm, the noise-dampening material around the tank must be at least as thick as the upper-class CR engine casing. Gruß Ulf

Oh, come on...
At that speed, you could bite me and I wouldn't even notice.

Okay, let's stop the off-topic conversation.

The maximum speed values of the G 5 have significantly worsened compared to its predecessors. The G 3 GTI with 85 kW had a stated top speed of 196 km/h, and the G 4 with 85 kW had a top speed of 195 km/h. The G 5, with its 85 kW engine, is now only specified with a top speed of 192 km/h, a price to pay for the van-like high roof.
Looking at the top speed figures for the G5 TDI with 103 kW, which was initially 203 km/h according to my recollection, and was later increased by VW to 205 km/h (the same value as the 96 kW G 4...), it all makes sense. Good examples of the G 3, like mine, could also reach a top speed of around 205 km/h. If the tuner was unable to increase the maximum speed (as the term "rated speed at maximum speed" suggests), then the values are somewhat plausible.
Furthermore, the maximum speed values of the current A3 are not comparable to those of the G 5, as the A3 has a flatter, more aerodynamic design, as evidenced by its maximum speed of 207 km/h with the same 103 kW engine. Gruß
