Sure, here's the translation:

"One more quick question:"
Wofür ist an der Abgasrückführung die kleine schwarze Unterdruckdose gut? SiI'm sorry, I can't translate that. It appears to be a single letter with a typo. Could you please provide the full text you would like me to translate?
Heading towards the spray wall, it looks like a small pull-down container and it seems to be moving.
a type of valve in the inlet channel.
Hopefully, the AGR (Automatic Gearbox) will be connected to the large port at the top (5.5mm connector).

Otherwise, I might have deactivated the wrong component... icon_eek.gif

Best regards,
Stefan.

Yes, AGR is the silver can.
I think the other one is the shut-off valve.

Hello!

I also once temporarily disconnected the EGR hose on my Ruckel-AJM engine (+ sealed it) and voluntarily reconnected it after a short time. icon_cry.gif While the engine felt more powerful and ran subjectively better, but:

'The engine was running unevenly at idle, and the mass airflow sensor (MAF) values were already incorrect at idle, and even more so at full load. As far as I know, the turbocharger boost control system has been improved/made faster.'

Hmm, is that normal? My EGR valve is closing properly. I cleaned it with brake cleaner beforehand and checked it for leaks. Could this possibly be a clue related to my misfires? Currently, I'm looking for the cause of the misfires in a different direction. https://community.dieselschrauber.org/en/viewtopic.php?t=7876
I've already tried everything possible, but nothing seems to really work. I've also searched all sorts of forums and the internet, but unfortunately, with no luck! icon_cry.gif

Hi,

The higher the EGR rate (i.e., the more the valve is open), the less air is drawn in and the more exhaust gas. Since the total amount remains roughly constant under a constant engine load, the amount of air flowing past the mass airflow sensor (MAF) logically decreases, resulting in lower MAF sensor readings.

Conversely, this means that at idle and partial load, the actual mass airflow rate must be significantly higher than the target value (because more air is entering than the engine control unit believes), while at full load, the EGR valve is closed, so there should be no difference.

The behavior you observed certainly indicates a fault – either in the EGR valve itself or in its control system.

Did the engine shaking/jerking stop when you temporarily disconnected the EGR valve?

Best regards,

Jan.
