Another idea...
The throttle cable clamp is new. Okay. When the accelerator pedal is pressed, does the throttle cable move all the way to its maximum travel? The throttle cable is fixed in the holder with a clamp, and its length is adjustable via this clamp.

Ah, another system explanation .
Is this whole thing just a more sophisticated, speed-dependent injection start control, or does it also take into account the engine load, like in a TDI, for example, via the position of the "throttle"? |
Hello,
I also think it's load-dependent due to emissions. Usually, there's something on top of the pump in those cases.
One or more switches are located on the throttle shaft, which make or break contact depending on the throttle position.
He receives the speed information via the FSS.

For me, the following questions still remain:
Engine (assuming an AAZ engine with no electronics):
What has the engine been through? Does it consume a lot of oil?
Perhaps it would be worthwhile to measure the compression (as a last step, for comparison between the cylinders). What is the injection pressure of the nozzles, and what is the spray pattern like?
Nockenwellenstellung richtig zu KW u. ESP?
Boost pressure:
Besides the wastegate, these engines, as far as I know, also have a pressure relief mechanism in the "intake manifold," a canister that opens at approximately 0.8 to 0.9 bar. Does this mechanism function correctly? First, measure the boost pressure (using a pressure gauge designed for acetylene, which should read 0.8 bar).
ESP:
Does the ESP have an LDA injector? Is the membrane in good condition? If the mechanical boost pressure enrichment system is not working (e.g., the small hose from the intake manifold to the injector might be porous/leaky), there is enough air in the combustion chamber, but no additional diesel is being injected ---> it runs like a naturally aspirated diesel.
If the diesel filter is new, it doesn't necessarily mean there's enough diesel flowing. Under high load, a lot of diesel is drawn in, which can be hindered if there's dirt in front of the outlet, if the hoses are swollen/porous, or similar. (Check for bubble formation in the transparent suction tube before the DPF). Check the quick-stop nozzle on the DPF and ensure a firm electrical connection at the connector.

Hello everyone,
First of all, thank you very much for all the sympathy http://www.e39-forum.de/images/smilies/top032.gif.
I went through some points.
What happens if you disconnect one of the hoses from the wastegate, and then the other? What happens if both hoses are missing?
Then almost nothing happens. If I disconnect the hose that goes to the relay, the acceleration gets even worse. The other hose, as well as everything else around the charger, is new.
http://home.arcor.de/videocompression/misc/golf/td_5.jpg
You have at least one switch on the pump connected to the gas lever shaft; does it activate when...?
Do you have gas? Are the cables there okay?
The cables there are fine, and the plug is securely connected.
http://home.arcor.de/videocompression/misc/golf/td_3.jpg
Is the gas cable housing properly attached?
Yes, that's it. I observed it when someone fully compressed it. The lower spring then reaches exactly to the screw. After that, the upper spring moves a little further to the right, but not much. I can then push the upper spring a little further to the right with my fingers.
http://home.arcor.de/videocompression/misc/golf/td_7.jpg
What is the injection pressure of the nozzles, and what does the spray pattern look like?
Nockenwellenstellung richtig zu KW u. ESP?
Regarding the fuel injection pattern, I unfortunately can't provide any information, as it hasn't been tested, and I'm unable to check it myself. A VW workshop noted the low boost pressure, and they apparently also checked the fuel injection timing (which was at least indicated on the invoice) and found it to be okay.
All hoses that are in any way related to diesel are okay, and all clamps as well.
Here's another picture of the ESP.

Thank you very much.

Has anyone possibly tampered with the 'sealed' screw on the pressure side of the pump? Turning it can significantly increase (or decrease) the injection amount. Although the seal is still in place, as far as I know, the screw can still be adjusted slightly.

Hello,
No, it appears that nothing has been done to the screw.
To get a better understanding of the situation, what measures should be taken first?
1.) Check compression?
2.) Check the spray pattern of the nozzles?
More options?
Thank you very much!

Enjoy your meal!
Beautiful pictures.
I would start by measuring the boost pressure; it should be around 0.7 bar under full load, so that's the best place to begin.
Go uphill in 3rd or 4th gear, exceeding 2000 RPM, and floor the accelerator.
If it builds well, you can often rule out an error there.
Even though the turbo is new.
Small pressure gauges from 0-1 bar can be found, for example, at www.riegler.de, along with suitable tubing.
A T-fitting is definitely a good option, or you can find something at the hardware store.
Does the switch on the gas lever shaft work? You only mentioned the connector.
sitting and making sure the cables are connected properly.
If you don't know anyone who has a nozzle testing device, you'll unfortunately have to...
Have the workshop check it; a compression test can be done at the same time.
What happens if you turn the flow control screw 1/4 of a turn?
However, it would be illegal because it affects emissions.
Okay, just to be clear, is the lock nut properly seated on this screw? If not, maybe...
"It automatically reduced the amount of support."
Low performance could also indicate that the fuel injection timing is no longer synchronized with the...
If the speed is adjusted, it should produce a lot of smoke at the top end.
Golfschrauber1981 posted something about the start-up regulation above, maybe.
Is something not working?
Try to measure whether the aforementioned N108 valve, which controls fuel injection timing, behaves differently under various conditions.
"Voltage is applied to the last states, and whether this voltage changes (this is where the TDI experts come in)."
When asked, the component will likely also be clocked, similar to how the VTG control is clocked.
How can I accurately measure that with a multimeter? If so, on what setting (e.g., AC voltage)?
Could you please send a picture of the back of the ESP, specifically the area between the head and the ESP itself?
That's all I can think of for now, bye, Jockel. Passat 35i mit AAZ, CTN Getriebe, LLK - in Rente

Hello,
Ginvery simple.
Greetings.
Kusi.

I would like to check the full-load performance as a function of boost pressure.
The easiest and quickest way to check the LDA for leaks is with a vacuum pump.
If you connect the pump directly to the LDA hose on the intake manifold of the engine, you also check the hose and connections at the same time.
The vacuum pressure should remain constant for a certain period of time.
If the membrane is defective, a proper charging pressure will not build up.
fuel injection amount is too low.
PS: Please don't adjust the fuel screw unless you have some technical knowledge, as you could damage the pump more than you help it.
I would appreciate your feedback.

According to the posted pictures, the ESP does not have LDA (which is strange, I thought it should have it on the Golf / AAZ).
Is the LDA pump always installed, or do they have the same variant as the Passat?

Hello everyone,
Thank you very much for your enthusiastic participation!!
Something new has come up. After I had reached the end of my rope and I really didn't know what else to do, I took it to a workshop belonging to an acquaintance. After a phone call and describing the problems, the first thing he said was, 'The turbocharger wasn't broken.'
He said that if it were junk, you would have noticed it a long time ago. It should have been smoking and showing other abnormalities. Well, he wanted to take a closer look at it. A few days later, he called me and told me something incredible. They had to lift the car on the stage, almost needing two people to turn the wheel! Both drive wheels weren't turning on their own. He also said that there's definitely something wrong with the transmission, and that this defect is probably the cause of all the problems. In his opinion, the engine is running optimally, and there's nothing negative to say about it. If that's true, I'd love to give VW a piece of my mind. But how can we prove it now?
Okay, I'm going to start looking for a gearbox now; that's probably the least of my worries. I'll let you know if you're interested.
Therefore, I will still get a boost pressure gauge so that I can immediately detect any boost pressure problems.
Thank you for your tips and knowledgeable answers. Perhaps the topic isn't finished yet, and unfortunately, this isn't the end of it...
Best regards,

It's strange because, in that case, the car would behave similarly to having the parking brake partially engaged when rolling.
Have you never noticed anything like that before? Gruß Ulf

Hi Ulf,
No, I never noticed anything, or I never paid attention to how it unrolled.
I'll check it out myself tomorrow. If that's the case, I'll install a different gearbox next Saturday. I'll let you know if anything has changed.
