K-Power: Beta Version & Performance Testing

I found the following sentence in a thread from today:

To prevent uncontrolled proliferation, most of the new features that we develop as VAG-COM plugins/utilities will only be usable with diagnostic adapters that have a dongle function (or more conveniently, depending on the plugin).

My specific question is: Does this also apply to the current beta version 500.6 and the K-Power performance measurement tool that can be downloaded from the shop?
Or is it enough if you order the kit from the shop?
Unfortunately, I won't have time to try it out until the weekend, so that's why I'm asking .

I am very excited about the performance measurement feature .

The current version of KPower is compatible with all versions of VAG-COM and can be used with any non-dongle adapter.
By the way, there's a new version 3.01 available, which includes a small bug fix.
It's not yet clear what will happen with future plugins or add-ons.
Current trend: Promotional programs like KPower should be available to everyone, while professional features such as guided troubleshooting should only be tied to a license, i.e., the dongle.

The current 500.6 beta version of VAG-COM requires a dongle interface.
