Unfortunately, I'm having a problem with my Eberspächer heater.

It simply won't start anymore.

I intended to start it on December 24th, but it wouldn't start. It also wouldn't start on December 26th. However, after driving for about an hour, it started perfectly and ran flawlessly.

Since then, I've tried several times, but it simply won't run, or rather, it simply won't start.

The problem is that it doesn't start at all; it doesn't draw anything in or do anything.

I'm connecting it via TP 5, and it shows that the heating is running and counts down the time, but the heating isn't actually doing anything.

Does anyone have a clue or a tip as to what might be causing this, or how I could get the heating working again?

Eberspächer service said they could only read the error codes, but that would require removing the bumper. They suspect a faulty control unit.

It's probably locked now, after I tried to start the heating system several times. I've checked the fuses, relays, etc., and everything seems to be okay. What else can I do?

"Or, how can I figure out what's broken? I'm just surprised that the heating system isn't doing anything at all, not even drawing in fuel or starting up, it's just completely unresponsive."

I have a Golf IV.

The problem seems to have been resolved.

A pin has broken off inside the connector, which is why there was a constant power supply issue. Let's see if it works now with a new, used control unit.
