A6 Coding Error: Dashboard Malfunction (2005)

Hi!

I have an Audi A6 (4F from 2005) and I want to code the instrument cluster control unit, including the seat belt warning and the Avant display in the FIS. However, the control unit seems to 'refuse' to accept any changes to the coding. Currently, the coding is 0015891. To disable the seat belt warning, for example, the correct value would be 0015801. After entering this value into my VAG-COM (which is registered and has a HEX-USB interface) and clicking 'Save,' no error message appears, but the original coding reappears in the overview. Therefore, nothing changes without any notification.

'Even trying a sequence like 0000000 or similar failed. A login version with the number 13861, which I was given as a suggestion, also didn't work.'

Has anyone ever experienced something like this before and have any ideas?

Since apparently no one knew about this:

The instrument cluster was incorrectly coded from the factory, so it wouldn't accept any changes to the original coding. After I 'calculated' the new code based on the list from de.openbsd.org and entered it completely, it worked.
