Hello everyone,
AbhHelp?

Regards,
Thomas.

What kind of cars are those? Are they VWs, but which models?

I'd like to check the software version of the auxiliary heater.
Should it be 1906 or 2206?

Either through a diagnostic scan at the dealer or using VAGCOM.

I suspect it's more likely due to the combination of factors; the SH-SG only receives a signal to initiate the process.

Is your "estimate" also based on a real-world context?

Hello,
Since January 2006, I have owned an A3 with a factory-installed auxiliary heating system.
The timer only applies to the next start of the auxiliary heater.
After that, it needs to be reset, and the time will then be automatically adjusted for the next day.
There is no way to program recurring starts.
I know that it's the same with the A4 models that come with a factory-installed auxiliary heater.
I can understand that, as one might forget to disable the cycle.
Three weeks later, when you return from vacation, the gas tank is almost empty.
From that point on, it wouldn't start anymore.
That annoys me, actually.
It would be nice if that could be changed.

Best regards,

Frank.

As far as I know, and this seems plausible, the corresponding explanation has already been provided by you.

Hello,
I meant to say that I like to drive with the fuel tank almost empty.
If he switches to reserve, there are still approximately 6 to 7 liters left.
If that happens, I now have to immediately refill the fuel every time so that the auxiliary heater can start in the morning.
It's only 12 kilometers to work.
The heater could run for a good half hour, and I'd still make it.
That would still be enough for the next day.

Best regards,

Frank.

Generally, the auxiliary heater needs to be adjusted before each heating cycle.

The fuel consumption of the SH, at full load, is 1/4 liter per half hour.
It should be enough.
