HI,

While searching for good summer tires in size 195/65 15 H, I came across the Maloya Futura Primato mainly because of the ADAC test (03/2005).
According to the test, it's a really good tire.

What bothers me is that I've never heard of this manufacturer before, and in this context, the price-performance ratio of 49 EUR seems unbeatable, especially considering the "highly recommended by ADAC" label.

The "Conti Premium" tire, which I personally recommend, costs 70 EUR and, due to its successor not being included in the 195 test, received a wet grip rating in a different category.
I had the Premium tire in size 195/60 R14 H on my Variant and could only recommend it. I also used it in size 205/60 R15 V on my Vectra B and in size 185/55 R15 on my Ibiza.

Ah,

According to the ADAC brochure that my friend still has, it's something "Swiss."

Vredestein Group.

I would say, as long as it's a European brand. The ADAC wouldn't recommend the tire for free, and the price is a factor.

Of course, you're always well served with Vredestein, yes, it's a great brand with the best origins icon_cool.gif. They even seem to produce quite good caravan tires icon_lol.gif.

Swiss manufacturer, now part of Vredestein. I used to have winter tires from them.
It's possible to drive.

On our old Opel car, we used to have tires from that brand. They were winter tires, they didn't burst, the grip wasn't great, but we actually always managed to get through icon_smile.gif.

That reminds me of my winter tires from 4-5 seasons ago...

According to OEAMTC (which is like ADAC, but only in Austria), the TOYO tire was in 2nd or 3rd place back then, and it was much cheaper than everything else, which was tempting to buy -> I've never had such a bad winter tire! icon_eek.gif. The grip wasn't terrible, but there was absolutely no lateral stability -> since then, I've mostly only bought brand-name tires, especially Continental.
(I just bought 4 Continental Premium Contact tires in size 205 55 R16 for 321.- including shipping icon_cool.gif).

A Continental tire in size 195/65 R15 typically costs around 55-65 euros.

@ Hati

That is not my girlfriend. I stole the avatar from the internet icon_smile.gif.

EDIT: Now using a slightly more car-related avatar so that no one gets upset about the temperature.

@ daytrader

Where do you get your COnti so cheaply?
I've seen prices of around 70 EUR plus installation (in the Leon area, for 13.13 EUR).

@dieselmartin

I ordered it from http://www.rt-tanski.de - it was the cheapest one according to my research.
It worked out great - top-quality products with a current expiration date - and they even only cost 312 euros - not 321 euros as incorrectly stated above.
