Reset Service Light Audi A6 C4 with VAG-COM

'After the oil change, I wanted to reset the service indicator in the instrument cluster (IC). After selecting the corresponding control unit, I wanted to reset it back to 00015. When I tried to save, I received a message that this could only be done with the registered version of VAG-COM. I can connect to the IC, and I can read and modify the existing values, but when I try to save, it is denied.'
I purchased this diagnostic device (hobby system) here in the shop, and I have software version 409. How do I register this version? Or perhaps I've done something wrong.
In my search, I haven't found anything suitable, other than the fact that other people have experienced the same problems, but unfortunately, no solutions.

I find it hard to believe that you couldn't find any solutions in your search. The information is also included in the user manual that came with your device.

I found some information while searching, but unfortunately, I couldn't find a definitive solution, which might also be due to my search criteria. The user manual only mentions that there might be specific issues related to the AI. However, I'll check that again.

Don't worry, the problem has nothing to do with connection issues to control units. It's simply because your VAG-COM installation is not activated (licensed).
