Hello,
The temperature gauge is located in the suction pipe inside the tank.
First, remove the mat from the trunk, and then you'll see the fuel tank lid (secured with 3 screws). Remove the lid, and underneath you'll find the fuel filler neck with the hose connections for the diesel supply and return lines, and the connector for the fuel level sensor.
First, disconnect the hoses (otherwise diesel will leak out or air will get in) and detach the connector. Then, loosen the fitting around the intake manifold (sometimes you can loosen the threads with gentle taps from a hammer or screwdriver) and carefully lift it slightly, tilt it, and pry it out.
The fuel level sensor (float on an L-shaped wire) is attached to the suction pipe.
Assembly in reverse order.
Make sure not to confuse the inlet and outlet (the latter is thinner), and connect them securely with good clamps, otherwise the ESP may suck air from the direction of the tank.
Don't waste too much time when closing and connecting the hoses, otherwise there will be quite a bit of air trapped inside.
Regards,
macro
