Hi Rudi,
I haven't heard of any specific problems related to the 9N model, so here's some general information:
Does it still warm up with the engine idling, or is it possible that the clutch is no longer disengaging properly?
Where is the hot-start lock located?
When shifting gears -> would you then encounter a "hard" resistance?
Regarding the gearbox -> then, at the locking mechanism, you should be able to feel the elasticity of the shift rods or cables.
Could it be that there's a "partially misaligned" gear linkage between the shift lever and the gearbox, which, due to thermal expansion at higher temperatures, is blocking gear 5?
Try shifting directly into 5th gear while the engine is still warm. If that works, then adjust the gear linkage.
Oder kommt man warm noch halb in die Schaltgasse 5 rein, d.h. der Knüppel läßt sich nur noch ein kleines Stück nach rechts + links bewegen, wie z.B. im 3. Gang?
Then, in my opinion, it's more likely to be in the transmission
