Intake Manifold Gasket: Replacement Guide

Hi everyone, I need your help.

Audi 80.
1.9 TDi, 90 hp, 1Z.
270,000 km

After I accelerated quickly past the train a few times, I would occasionally smell burnt oil at the traffic lights.
Hood up... and there it is, a little oil is leaking out between the intake manifold and the suction nozzles, dripping onto the exhaust manifold/turbocharger.
I disassembled the entire thing and noticed that a sealant was used instead of a gasket.
I then cleaned everything, and I definitely don't want to talk about the oil residue. After that, I reassembled everything. I used Hylomar as a sealant.
The whole thing didn't really last very long...

Now, my question to you...
Is there perhaps a gasket missing in the original, or was Hylomar simply the wrong product for the job?

Almost every B4 I've worked on has had a leak. You can get a metal gasket for around 5 EUR from the dealer.

For me, "Ansaugbrücke" and "Saugstutzen" are the same thing.

"At least, VW refers to this part as the 'naturally aspirated intake manifold,' and it comes with a metal gasket for the cylinder head."

Here's how it looks on the Audi. You can see a piece of the seal where the red arrow is pointing.

I know that one, that's the old AAZ adapter.

Then it seems that the Golf 1Z is truly the only one that doesn't have any real storage space.

All other TDI engines, as well as the JX and AAZ models, have a fitting that is a type of chamber with four outlets.

Wolfi is right!! It looks like that, just like in the picture!!

And Wolfi, the friendly one, actually had a stamp on hand for me, and it cost just under 5 euros.

It's quite ridiculous to create different types of suction bridges. One type should be sufficient for everyone. It just causes problems for the service technicians.

AAZ - with chamber, and these light ribs on the outside.
1Z - no chamber, no ribs.
after that - always pork loin, mostly ribs.

PS: How do you fit 215 nozzles into a 4-cylinder engine? I only have 4 nozzles.

Of course: The rest is in the trunk as a reserve.

Seriously... I know the value is nice. Whether it's 0.215 mm or 0.0215 mm, but honestly, it doesn't really matter to me.
