HI.
For those who are interested:
The AGR valves with hose clamp connections are NOT compatible with the AGR inlets that have clip connections.
The Klips colleagues are taller.
That makes my plan to add a shut-off valve to the 1Z even more complicated .
I need some Golf AGR clips (specifically EURO3 compliant) right now. (I have Golf and Passat clips already.)
QUESTION:
Is a pressure pipe with the layout shown in the sketch below problematic?
Then I would build an adapter to connect the Passat fitting to the Golf AGR valve.

Yes, it's unfavorable. So, referring to the first image, vortices form in the corners, which causes a loss of flow and, consequently, a pressure loss.
Just how bad is it, really? If that were a perfect 1:1 representation, that would be quite something, but I doubt it's actually that accurate, right?

No.
It looks like this in reality: (the paper is the suction pipe, and underneath it is the EGR valve).

It's hard to say exactly how it behaves, but I'd guess the diameter is about 8 mm larger, right?

You could read a bit about it , but figuring out how it behaves... not just the pressure loss - which would be simple enough - but also how the turbulence in the combustion chamber continues, and then dealing with constantly fluctuating flow velocities - that's something I'm unsure about .

Okay,
Current status and ongoing project: Building an adapter plate to connect AGR, AHF, and ASV components to the AGR unit on a Passat vehicle.
