Are there any experiences with tuning here yet?
This car should really excel at reaching its top speed, given its extremely long 6th gear ratio (59 km/h at 1000 RPM).

And it seems he is also proving himself in racing conditions:

Someone reported that a dyno test showed the car produced approximately 133 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque on the standard settings.
The maximum speed is approximately 3500-3600 RPM.

Is this engine/transmission combination also available in the A3/Golf?
Who has MOT test pass charts?

I've been driving the Ibiza for 2 and a half weeks now, and the transmission has really long gearing. To accelerate to its top speed, you need to use the 5th gear (approximately 222 km/h at 4200 rpm), while the 6th gear is essentially an overdrive gear (around 3500 rpm)! It's actually a bit annoying; I thought it was a pure 6-speed transmission!

But for tuning, the situation is probably interesting (4500 RPM in 6th gear would be hell )!

That sounds AMAZING! Exactly what I was hoping for – a sixth gear to allow fuel-efficient driving on the highway without being noisy.

Could you please tell me what the average fuel consumption (MFA) is at speeds of 80, 100, 120, and 140 km/h in sixth gear? (Assuming a constant speed, ideally using cruise control).

I once heard that the 6-speed transmissions are designed for a torque output of 350 Nm. This is also why PD engines, although having different power outputs, don't have significant differences in torque (85 kW -> 310 Nm, 96 kW -> 320 Nm).
From October 11th to 19th, *** in Kempten is hosting a tuning week with discounts of approximately 30%. I'm considering going, but I still have concerns about the transmission. With my potential chip upgrade, it could achieve 140 horsepower and 340 Nm of torque.

'@rs: So, the car drives very well, but I've only driven about 2000 km, so I can't really say much more. What's a bit annoying is the wind noise above 140 km/h, but it's bearable! Before this, I drove a Lupo 1.4 TDI, and I didn't notice any noises then, although that car itself (the engine, rattling, etc.) was also much louder, which probably drowned everything out!'

@ Jan6K: I'll check the fuel consumption. I looked at it while driving at 140 km/h, and it was around 4.5 liters. Unfortunately, I don't have cruise control, but I'll take a closer look. Currently, my average consumption is 5.5 liters, but I think it will be even lower!

It didn't occur to me. The tires are quite noisy because they are new and inflated to 2.6 bar (16 inches).

Yes, it was a bit more initially, but it's decreasing every day. Today, I almost managed to drain out 5.0 liters (stupid traffic jam!!).
