The "Short to Ground" airbag control unit fault entry cannot be cleared after repair. Cause: Hardware failure in the control unit Optimized control unit available from 02/99. Solution: Part replacement. Note: Only control units that are identified as "Airbag Head + Side" or "Airbag Front + Side" via diagnostics are affected.
