AKN with error codes 00553 and 00523

Hello,

My A6 (1999) with AKN has the following error codes in the memory: 00553 (Mass airflow sensor short to positive - Intermittent) and 00523 (G42 intake air interruption/short to positive).
These errors manifest as a sudden loss of power when accelerating.
I can rule out a faulty mass airflow sensor, as it has already been replaced.

Is there a connection between the mass airflow sensor and the engine control unit (ECU) in the AKN? I've had several defective ones where the connection problems were due to these connectors (e.g., airbag, window motors, etc.).

Any other ideas about what could be the cause?
