Hello,

I'm referring to a Superb I, Mj. 2008, which is largely identical to the Passat 3BG.

I'm looking for a way to run a thin hose from the interior to the engine bay for my boost gauge. I've already removed the trim panel below the steering wheel. However, after a long search, I haven't found any blind plugs or similar.

There must be a way to get to the engine control unit from the cable tree, right? But it's so tightly packed in there, there must be a simpler solution!

Does anyone have a tip for me?

Regards, Georg

From the control station (where the MSG is located), it is possible to access through the existing cable runs through the splash guard.
One needs to go below the electrical panel.

Best regards, Stefan

Hello, or just remove the carpet under the pedals, then you can also go through the splash guard.

Hello,

Voodoo, thank you for the response.
I had hoped there might be another way, but I suppose I have to do it this way.

scrdel, Unfortunately, I couldn't find a blind stopper under the rug.

Hi, yes, there is indeed a way, at least for me, because I have installed the wiring for my space heater. It is located near the area where I don't have a clutch pedal. Take a look here:

/viewtopic.php?t=20126

I once wrote something down there, where you can see where the wires come out from the foot area and where they go in from the motor side.....

Best regards, Sven.

Again, feedback:

The cable entries in the footwell also exist, as described by scrdel.
However, the implementation by the motor control unit housing is significantly better, as it allows for the routing of a charging pressure hose through the water tank.

Small tip: The (when looking at the car from the front) last screw of the plastic cover of the MSG box under the defogger can be loosened from above by removing a plug in the defogger.

This fitting is extremely difficult to see, simply very well fitted icon_smile.gif

We need a 1/4" 8mm socket with a extension. 3/8" is already too thick for the hole in the wind deflector.

Thank you for your feedback,

Georg
