I want to reset all my coding to the original state, but I can't find this control unit.

Address 09:6R7 937 085 re-encoded (long encoding) from 7C980B1808010040002000003E0A08800040400F600000000000 to 7C980B1808010040002006003E0A08800040400F600000000000 (40345/120/99397) Tuesday, April 3, 2012, 18:48:04:55040.

This is the vehicle's control unit (also known as address 09, but with a different part number).
Address 09:5K0 937 086 recoded (long coding) from 40180A3B81251AC0400800C0540081E443519288626D2D626480C72000C1 to 40180A3BE9251AC0400800C0500081E443519288626D2D626480C72000C1 (00020/790/00000) Tuesday, April 3, 2012, 20:38:31:55040.

I can't find '6R7 937 085 C' in the coding section at the top of the dropdown menu.
What's behind that? Where can I find it? What did I do? icon_rolleyes.gif

Hello Martin,

For questions like this, please always include a vehicle scan with details, so we know which car it is and what parts are installed and configured.

You have found the history of your coding operations in the directory C:\Kaufmann\VCDS-RKS-GER\Debug, specifically in the file CodingLog.txt.
With this, in conjunction with the Autoscan, it should be possible to determine when your car was coded in what way, and which control units actually belong to your car. icon_wink.gif

If the CodingLog.txt file lists a control unit that is not actually installed in your vehicle (Autoscan), it likely belongs to a different vehicle.
Or, you may have received a software update, which could also change the VAG part number (although I doubt this applies to your case). However, if that's the case, you can assume that the control unit was configured during the update to match the specifications for your vehicle.

Best regards, Rainer.

Probably on the same day, someone was reverse-engineering a Polo icon_wink.gif.

That's quite easy to recognize.
It can be problematic to work on multiple vehicles of the same or similar type on the same day, such as two Passats or a Passat and a Golf5, because they may share some control units.

I don't know what the f*ck it was.
