In cases where sporadic errors occur rarely, there are 3 possibilities:
- One continues driving until the corresponding part is completely broken.
- We are looking for specific hours, and either luck or bad luck determines whether the malfunction occurs and can be reproduced.
- You replace the part if the engine control unit (ECU) indicates that it is faulty. But one thinks about it first and considers whether it could really be the case, or whether it is simply a side effect / consequence of something else.
If you have VCDS, why don't you use it accordingly?
1. "Post
Autoscan data to identify the vehicle and its components."
2. If the "Fuel Pressure Regulator Mechanical Fault" error occurs, why don't you simply log the target and actual fuel pressure values, drive the car for a while to allow the error to occur, and then check the measured values?
