Hello everyone,
The vehicle in question is a Volkswagen Golf 3 TDI with the AFN engine.
Yesterday afternoon, I was driving the aforementioned car and quickly noticed that the oil pressure line leading to the turbocharger, located at the front of the engine block, was leaking. Some oil was spraying out from there. I immediately stopped the car.
I replaced this hose today, and so far everything seems to be okay (I've actually replaced a similar hose on this vehicle before, last year).
"However, after the assembly, everything seemed to be working as it should when the engine was idling. After a few minutes, I drove the car home. At first, I didn't notice anything unusual, but when I had to drive up a hill, I unfortunately felt a loss of power."
I can't imagine that I made a mistake during the assembly (but nobody is perfect), but perhaps someone has a suggestion for something I should double-check?
I also checked the error memory, but there were no entries. After several unsuccessful test drives, I repeatedly disconnected and reconnected all the connectors that I had to remove to route the oil line.
Right now, I'm at a loss. Everything was fine yesterday except for the oil line, which was replaced, and now this.
Oh yeah, I added about 3/4 liters of oil before the first restart, but I don't think the turbo ran without oil.
Thank you for your opinions on this topic...
