Hello World,
Current status of my request:
230,000 km, no significant problems so far.
Here are the first of the larger wear parts that need replacing.
- New left driveshaft. Parts cost: €220.
- Rear trailing arm bushings (right side). 2x €20.
- Replaced stabilizer bar links at the rear. 2 x €12.
- Brakes completely replaced for the second time (discs and pads front and rear). Complete ATE brand, 190 €.
(
Note: At 160,000 km, I had the brakes completely replaced for the first time; they hadn't been touched before. I switched to ATE rotors and ATE ceramic pads, which resulted in the rotors becoming completely rusted. Therefore, they need to be replaced again after only 70,000 km. I no longer use ceramic pads and unfortunately accept the brake dust
).
Installation of the mentioned parts for €220.
Now the climate control condenser needs to be replaced because it's leaking. The parts cost €60.
Since I'm approaching 260,000 km and my next timing belt replacement is due (the first one was replaced early at 110,000 km), I'm considering having it done now.
When replacing the condenser, the entire bumper has to be removed from the front. Does this offer any advantages for replacing the radiator? Would the bumper also need to be removed for a radiator replacement?
Scope of timing belt work?
Should you replace any other parts preemptively, in addition to the usual ones (tensioner pulley, 2 x idler/guide pulleys, timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt)?
For example, the tensioner pulley for the ribbed belt or the camshaft sensor, which has already failed on my car?
Thank you for the information!
