HEX-NET and HEX-V2 Registration with VCDS

After 15 uses, the Ross-Tech HEX-NET® and HEX-V2® diagnostic system must be registered with the customer. To see how to register for the HEX-V2 or the HEX-NET, please see the following video:

You can find the latest version of the VCDS software in your Dieselschrauber customer account at http://shop.dieselschrauber.org/en/account.php

The VCDS software comes with the VCDS interface configuration program, with which the HEX-NET or the HEX-V2 is registered. The HEX-NET / HEX-V2 does not need to be connected to a vehicle during registration, but the computer being used must be online.

Start the VCDS software and plug in the HEX-NET / HEX-V2 on your computer. Click on the [Settings] button and then on the [Connection Test] button. You should receive a notification that the interface has been found and identified as either HEX-NET or HEX-V2. [OK]

Click on the [Configuration] button to open the VCDS Interface Configuration program (VCIConfig.exe). Go to the Registration tab. If your HEX-NET / HEX-V2 is registered, you will see your information. If your HEX-NET / HEX-V2 is not registered, you will receive a login form. Please review the Ross-Tech Privacy Policy on our website and check the box to accept the terms and conditions. Please fill in the required information and then click on the [Submit Registration Request] button.

A pop-up message informs you that the information has been successfully submitted, and you will receive an email with information to complete the registration.

If you receive the email from Ross Tech, you will find your transaction ID. Copy this information and send it to the Transaction ID field in the VCDS Interface Configuration utility. Click on "Complete Registration".

A pop-up message will inform you that the registration was successful. [OK] to proceed.

Back in the VCDS software, under the [Settings] screen, perform another [Connection Test]. Click OK, and then click the Save button to return to the first screen of the VCDS software. Click on the [About...] button, and if you see your information, this indicates that the HEX-NET / HEX-V2 is correctly registered.

Warning: Contrary to the information in the program, it may take up to 24 hours for the email with the registration code to arrive.

I already briefly registered with Ross-Tech after receiving my HEX-NET, but I haven't received an email for revalidation yet. Will it arrive, or was I too hasty with the registration?
