Hello everyone.
I have a 2009 Golf 6 TSI Team with a 7-speed DSG-Tronic transmission and a gasoline engine. I'm interested in upgrading to a manual transmission using VCDS, but I have no idea how to do it. Has anyone done this before? The car currently has 150,000 km.

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Software updates for the DSG (direct-shift gearbox), meaning flashing new software onto it, cannot be done via VCDS. Regardless, where would you even obtain the new DSG firmware?
Possibly, something could be done via J2534 and the Offboard Diagnostic Information System Service - diagnostic software (ODIS), but that would need to be checked: See http://erwin.volkswagen.de.

Why do you want to update the DSG software? What problems do you think it has? And what specific issues would the DSG update firmware that's compatible with your vehicle fix? Do you have any idea? Okay, question answered...

As long as everything is working as it should, I would limit maintenance work on the DSG transmission to routine servicing, such as oil changes for "wet" DSG transmissions.

Best regards, Rainer.

Hello Rainer,
Danke für deine Mühe, Problem an diesem Schaltgetriebe ist der 1. Gang, der generiert starke Vibration. Manchmal schaltet das DSG von alleine vom 7. Gang auf 6. oder 5. Gattacked, without reason.
Tests were conducted on the highway using cruise control. I was directly told by Amag that a software update for the manual transmission could fix the problems, which is why I created my question.

"I'm sorry for my German, I'm a foreigner and I've learned the language myself."

Thank you again.

Okay, and why didn't Amag install the update right away instead of talking for a long time? new_tomato.gif
