VCDS Lizenz Upgrade, FIN löschen

Hello everyone,

I currently have the 10-FIN version. As mentioned in this post, you need the unlimited version for more than 10 FINs. That all makes sense. But, as asked at the beginning of the post, what happens if the vehicle is scrapped or sold? If the vehicle is no longer accessible, then that particular FIN is no longer needed. Can FINs that are no longer needed be deleted?

Theoretically, yes, but it doesn't really make sense if the time spent on it has to be paid.

And since that doesn't make sense, simply upgrade to the unlimited version if you have more than 10 cars in your garage. X

Well, in my opinion, it doesn't make much sense.

For example, we have had 6 vehicles since 2017, currently we have 4. We sold the other 2. However, their Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) are still stored in the system, which is unnecessary and takes up space. Within our network of acquaintances, 3 more vehicles were repaired, but those vehicles no longer exist either. So, a total of 9 vehicle identification numbers (VINs) are registered, including 6 for vehicles owned by us and 3 for vehicles owned by others. Currently, we only own 4 of them.

Who is responsible for deleting it? Ross-Tech itself?

Your request is understandable, however, I believe you have no idea how much time and effort are involved, and what costs that entails.

What is the hourly rate that covers all costs, including overhead, taxes, etc., for you or your employer? This includes invoicing, accounting, and payment processing.

Please don't come with a case of beer, because then you would be living in an underground cave and not driving around the area with 6 cars.

If a) the corresponding logic were implemented (which someone would have to do first) and b) each FIN had to be paid for individually to be deleted, it would very quickly become much more expensive than it is now.
