Hello, dear forum community!
I have a Golf 4, manufactured in 2002, with halogen headlights. I would now like to install the xenon headlights from a Golf 2, despite already having SWRA. "We want to re-evaluate the generation, including ALWR."
My question now: Is there only one control unit mounted at the rear of the headlights in the new generation? The starting device and ignition part are in the headlight?
I was offered new-condition headlights, one of which has a control unit mounted at the rear... However, not high-voltage modules, like those used in older models?
Are they completely finished?
Thank you and best regards,
Alex |

So, mein 2002er I-V hatte an jedem Scheinwerfer hinten eine Vorschaltlampe montiert. Early versions had the charging units located in the wheel wells. |

Hello Matthias!
Thank you for your response! That is. Should each individual headlight have its own control unit or high-voltage module?

Each headlight has its own control unit, high-voltage modules, etc. As far as I know, in the Golf 4, each headlight has its own control unit and a high-voltage module. |
