Hello, I'm having a problem with my bus, specifically:
In the fault memory, the braking electronics show the following error:
Relay for Magnet Coil for Brake Pressure 00812
Okay, so now the problem: Brake light switch has already been replaced but without success, as the switch state is not recognized by VCDS. I am assuming a cable break or similar. Can anyone tell me where pins 2 and 3 of the brake light switch go?
Thank you in advance and have a nice Monday.

Hello,
More information about the vehicle (VIN, year of manufacture, etc.) and a complete vehicle scan would be helpful!
I strongly advise using the correct wiring diagram and the manufacturer's repair manual for such work! Therefore, the following
Statements without warranty and subject to verification:
According to part number, the control unit is from ATE/ITT Automotive and is for the hydraulic unit, with ESP. In this case, the brake light switches and brake pedal switches are housed in a single enclosure and connected with 4 cables.
The brake pedal switch is located between pin 2 (cable color blue/red) and pin 3 (black/green, to ABS control unit pin 37).
Best regards, Richard

Hello,
Usually, you have a pedal switch (adjustable, to adjust, pull out completely and brake once) located at the top of the brake pedal.
Then a push-button or push-rod on the main brake cylinder.
The F84 is different; the switch is located on the brake booster. I would then take a look at the plugs and cables, and a picture would be helpful.
Best regards, Rainer

So, T5 Caravelle, year 2006, MKB BNZ, 2.5 4motion, only ESP control needs checking, I can do an auto-scan sometime in the next few days.
