Hi everyone,
the following problem.
I bought my Mazda 626 Diesel as a new car. I've also noticed the relatively high fuel consumption (even with a relaxed driving style on the highway, it barely gets below 7 liters of diesel) and its lack of power at higher speeds. Around 140 km/h, there's no real acceleration, and according to the speedometer, it barely reaches 170 km/h.
At Mazda, the fault codes were read out successfully, no problem.
Since I was doubting myself, I went to the rolling resistance test stand. Result:
73-74kw and top speed of approximately 175km/h. My Mazda is specified with 81kw and 185km/h according to the documents.
This is a modern, direct-injection diesel engine with turbocharging.
Motor has approximately 50,000 km of mileage.
According to Mazda, the LMMs are unlikely to fail, and they doubt that it could be due to this.
WHAT CAN I ONLY DO???????????????????????????
Thank you for all the help, as I'm starting to feel like I'm not getting the support I need from Mazda.
PS Car still has full warranty until the end of 2006. The vehicle is from 2001-2001.
Greetings

Hello Robs,

What type of fuel injection system does the engine have?
How are the fuel injection system and camshaft(s) driven?

So...

I would be in a heavy metal mood during the drive to the store.

then invite the champion and have a match with him.
...and insist on replacing the new LMM and running another round...
will he then be back in the green zone, have you fixed your defect...
and if they stubbornly refuse, I'll just open the valve and let the heavy metal escape icon_twisted.gif

Otherwise, I recommend reading the relevant articles on the topic of performance loss.
whether it's TDI or common-rail is not important for the fundamental defect. LMM, AGR, or VTG have general validity.
So, if you don't have any accompanying circumstances like smoke generation, etc., then the LMM is definitely a hot candidate...

thank you...
In my previous TDI, it was also the LMM...
Only the Mazda master dismissed it, saying that the LMM actually has no effect on performance, so I just became quiet...
I don't know how it works with a Mazda...
My idea was the LMM, but the instructor said that it should be found in the error log.
does the master have the right???????????????
can turbodiesels be tuned down so far???????????????
danke!!!!!!!!!!!

ps, there is definitely no smoke coming, we have already conducted particle measurements due to the consumption, there were hardly any particles, so it's not that either.........

THAT WAS, IN FACT, MY QUESTION; SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CAN DEFECTS OF LMM OR VTG AND SO ON ALSO OCCUR WITHOUT NOTICEABLE ERRORS IN THE MEMORY?
THANKS

My inquiry regarding the type of fuel injection system was to determine if the injection timing might be incorrect, or if the valve timing was okay, etc.
However, trivial things like a clogged fuel filter cannot be easily identified, let alone read from an error log, depending on the type of injection system.

SCH---E, that's the problem,
they have already hinted that such a troubleshooting process can be expensive...
just say, 'Downward dispersion is okay...'
dann kann ich auf meine kosten LMM-Ladeluftkühler (wie merkt man, ob der ausfällt??) – VTG-alles aus- und einbauen lassen und auf dem Prüfstand überprüfen lassen und bin dann ein paar tausend Euro los????
great prospects for me...

Hello Robs,

If I understand correctly, you still have full warranty on the car.
Aside from the technical aspects of the problem, I would simply take the car to the dealer and have them fix it, and I wouldn't care at all.
what he has to repair in order for the car to run properly.

again ask:
What is most likely to be the issue if there is increased fuel consumption, no Russian fuel smell, a negative fault code, and reduced engine performance?
ps, sometimes when accelerating, the engine 'jumps' or 'stalls' for a millisecond, as if the fuel supply is interrupted, but completely sporadically. However, if the diesel filter were clogged, wouldn't the engine performance be affected?
robs
can we narrow down anything with this combination?
I'm simply desperate.

Hi ROBS,

Please reconsider your writing style!
It is not necessary (nor common) to place thousands of question marks or exclamation marks after a sentence here in the forum. Please adhere to this. Your contributions only make things confusing and uninteresting.
Thank you.

Furthermore, we are used to the fact that the person asking the question also provides more details when asked (as posted by Rainer), and does not simply leave the questions unanswered. This significantly complicates troubleshooting.

... so now, let's talk about your problem.

The hesitation after the power phase is familiar to me - here's a small experiment: temporarily disable the AGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve and see if the error then disappears. Sometimes, the engine software is so poorly tuned that the AGR valve closes a little too late. Therefore, during gear changes, excessive exhaust gas enters the combustion process, which manifests as jerking.

Turbochargers tend to increase power output more than decrease it. The measured power output is typically about 10% lower than the specified power output. To put pressure on the dealer. 10% is just at the edge of what is acceptable, but if it comes down to it, the dealer will lose out.

First of all, thank you for the tips...
that I cannot answer all questions is because I do not have this information in my memory and I do not currently have access to the vehicle...
I'm just frustrated because Mazda is telling me that everything can be found in the control panel, but that there's no error...
So, ich kann im Prinzip nur ein anderes Auto kaufen, aber ich habe gerade einen Mazda gekauft, weil er wegen der Garantie keine Kilometerbegrenzung hat, da ich viele Kilometer pro Jahr fahre...
sowiet erst einmal danke..

This statement is utter nonsense!! If a fault image is not saved in the STG software, then no error will be displayed.
The limits for the LMM are not checked in VW/AUDI either - therefore, there is no error entry.

ad bertil
What do you mean by that exactly?
that there may be errors, which are not recorded or that a defect, for example in the LMM, is not checked? icon_redface.gif
