Hi
Did you receive the part without the installation manual?
The pump cable harness actually provides everything a power connector needs: ignition positive, ground, and the control travel wires.
The black cable could be a switch wire (on / off). My car's control box also has one of these, and it is switched via ground. When in operation, a voltage of approximately 8 volts can be measured there. If the wire is connected to ground, the box will be deactivated.
If the electronics require something more sophisticated, they might also want the LMM signal. Then, there should probably be no significant voltage to measure on the exposed wire in the system. Gruß Ulf

Hello!
I received a Kübel tuning chip as a gift. Unfortunately, the instructions are missing, and no one knows where this black cable actually goes.
I have heard different opinions - one being about 'dauer Masse' and the other about 'Zündungsplus'. I drive a 110PS Golf IV TDI.
What is the correct option between the two variants?
Thank you in advance!

Hi,
1. This part is so closely related to 'tuning chip' as the Easter bunny is to laying eggs.
2. If the black wire is the only thing (besides the pump cable connectors)
comes out of the box and my documents regarding the can are correct, then the following will happen:
Mass of the LM311, which causes the delay on power-up. The Wire
must therefore focus on mass! If you're worried, hang 1k as a protective measure in series.
Best regards, Rudi

Thanks for the quick response, Rudi!
Yes, I know the box has little to do with chiptuning. I'm still very critical of it, but, as I said, I received it as a gift, and you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth .
So, I connected the box to the permanent negative (-) terminal of the battery. Can I also do this instead of using the mass of the LM311 (I don't know what this is)?
After installation, I noticed a slight increase in performance. However, I then wrote a Kübel Tuning to make sure my impression was correct. That's when I received the following response, which left me very confused:
'In order to provide you with more accurate information, I need a copy of the invoice, as this is a 'Küberl' product.
But a little tip. The black cable should be connected to the ignition positive (PIN 15).
'
I unfortunately don't have the invoice anymore. However, I also believe that it's important to focus on mass.

Hi,
The LM311 is a comparator that is in the box, and (via a relay - also in the box)
the 10 ct tuning (that's all it is!) delays the activation (so that the activation test can
ECU does not enter emergency mode).
Without mass at the comparator, the relay cannot be activated, and the vehicle
behaves like a series.
You can get the mass from the battery's negative terminal.
My information refers to the box with the old (8-pole) connector.
It is possible to adapt the Küberl to fit the 10-pole connector during a redesign.
has slightly modified the circuit.

Bullshit!
Don't get caught up in things like Power Boxes or similar stuff.
There's nothing better than well-programmed sensors in the original control unit!!!

Yes yes - but how can an ordinary customer ensure that they obtain good datasets that don't unnecessarily stress the material?
Now, please don't provide answers like "renowned tuners" etc. - while you can trust well-known names, they could also be selling 08/15 software (like egedöns) with high-gloss advertising, which could damage the engine more than a sensibly designed and tuned powerbox. Gruß Ulf

Hi,
I keep seeing 'Egedön' mentioned here. Who is that? Link? Address? Google only finds 3 links in this forum here.

Otto, a typical customer, needs to do some research (talk to friends, consult online forums, gather experiences, etc.)
Then you can quickly find the best ones, because there aren't many of them.

And what kind of answers do you usually get from such sources?
Typically, you'll find phrases like "it's going great so far, no problems yet" (although something might go wrong tomorrow), or subjective comments like "poor service," "unhelpful treatment," "terrible website," etc., which, of course, say nothing about the expertise behind the tuning.
Tell me with justification, which ones you consider the best - because apparently you (unlike the general public) know something. Gruß Ulf

Hi,
So, I went to a tuner who has over 20 years of experience (1. Justification ).
My brother had 2 cars with him - he was very satisfied (2. (Justification).
A friend had his TDI tuned there and is/was very happy, having driven over 60,000 km (3. Justification ).
Satisfied?
Greetings
DJ
PS: If a motor is tuned, it's obvious that some parts won't work as well anymore. Either you have to replace everything (transmission, clutch, etc.) or you can't really expect a lot of power.

Now we know that you have a lot of insider experience.
But regarding the question of which guarantees more meaningful/better software than a well-designed powerbox, this unfortunately doesn't help us at all Gruß Ulf
