Help, where does the black cable go?
Küberl chip?
Mass or ignition plus?

Hi.
Did you receive the part used, without an installation manual?
The pump cable harness essentially provides everything a power connector needs: ignition power, ground, and the wiring for the control signal outputs.
The black cable might be a switching wire (on/off). My car alarm system also has something like that, and it's switched via ground. When the system is operating, you can measure approximately 8 volts on that wire. If you connect the wire to ground, the device will be deactivated.
If the electronics are intended to be more sophisticated, they might also want to receive the LMM signal. In that case, there probably wouldn't be any significant voltage measurable on the bare wire when it's in operation. Gruß Ulf

Hello!
I received a Küberl tuning chip as a gift. Unfortunately, the instructions are missing, and no one knows where that black cable is supposed to be connected.
I've heard different opinions – some say permanent power, while others suggest ignition plus. I drive a Golf IV TDI with 110 horsepower.
Which of the two options is correct?
Thank you in advance!

Hi,
1. That part has as much to do with a 'tuning chip' as the Easter Bunny does with laying eggs.
2. If the black wire is the only thing (other than the pump cable connectors) that...
Once it's out of the box and my documents are correctly placed inside, that will be the end of it.
Masse des LM311, der die Einschaltverzögerung macht, geschaltet. The wire.
You need to go big! If you're worried, add a 1k resistor in series as a safety measure.
Best regards, Rudi.

Thank you for the quick response, Rudi!
Yes, I know that the box has little to do with chip tuning. I'm still very critical of the thing, but as I said, I got it as a gift, and as they say, you don't look a gift horse in the mouth .
Okay, I connected the box to the negative terminal of the battery. Is it also possible to connect it this way instead of using the ground of the LM311 (I have no idea what that is)?
After the installation, I noticed a slight increase in performance. However, I then contacted Kübler Tuning to confirm whether my impression was correct. The response I received from them made me very concerned:
'To provide you with more accurate information, I need a copy of the invoice to confirm that this is a Kübler product.'
But a small tip: The black cable should be connected to the ignition positive terminal (PIN 15).
'Please provide the text you would like me to translate from German to English.'
Unfortunately, I no longer have the invoice. However, I believe it's a matter of quantity.

Hi,
The LM311 is a comparator housed within the enclosure and (via a relay, also inside the enclosure).
The 10-cent tuning (which is all it is!) delays the activation (so that the power-on test of the...
ECU not in limp mode (ends).
Without a mass at the comparator, the relay cannot be activated, and the vehicle...
acts like a sitcom.
You can get the ground connection from the negative terminal of the battery.
My information refers to the status of the box with the old (8-pin) connector.
It is possible to adapt the 'Küberl' device to use a 10-pin connector as part of a redesign.
he modified the circuit slightly.
Best regards,
Rudi

Don't waste your money on junk like power boxes or similar products.
There's nothing better than good, custom-programmed maps in the original engine control unit (ECU)!!!

Yes yes - but how can an average person | reliably obtain good datasets that don't unnecessarily stress the material?
Okay, please don't mention any well-known tuning companies or brands. While you might trust big names, they could also be selling generic, low-quality software (from companies like "eggedöns," etc.) with fancy marketing, which could damage the engine more than a properly designed and configured power box.Gruß Ulf

Hi,
I keep seeing the name 'Egedön' here. Who is that? Is there a link or address I can find information about? Google only finds 3 links related to this forum.

Micha.

Now, please don't give me answers like 'renowned tuners' or similar. While you can believe in big names, they could also sell ordinary, low-quality software (from companies like egedöns, etc.) with fancy advertising, which could damage the engine more than a well-designed/configured power box.
Otto Normalkunde needs to do a little research (friends, forums, experiences, etc.).
Then you'll quickly find the best ones, because there aren't many of them.

And what kind of answers do you typically get from such sources?
Usually, it's either something like "running great so far, no problems yet" (although something might break tomorrow), or subjective things like "bad service," "friendly treatment," "terrible website," etc., which of course doesn't say anything about the expertise behind the tuning.
Tell me with an explanation which ones you think are the best – because apparently you know (unlike the general public). Gruß Ulf

Hi,
So, I went to a tuner who has over 20 years of experience (1. Reason ).
Mein Bruder hatte 2 Autos bei ihm - war sehr zufrieden (2. Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:
'Reasoning).'
A friend had his TDI tuned there, and he has been/is very happy with it for over 60,000 km (3. Reason ).
Satisfied?
Regards,
DJ.
PS: When a motor is tuned, it's obvious that some parts won't be able to handle the increased stress. Either you have to replace everything (transmission, clutch, etc.), or you can't expect too much extra power.

Now we know that you have some insider knowledge.
But regarding the question of which tuners guarantee to deliver more meaningful/better software than a well-designed power box, unfortunately, this doesn't help us at all. Gruß Ulf
