Seal Hubdüse SWA: How to & Best Practices

My left windshield washer nozzle is leaking again. The car is a Volkswagen Passat 3B Variant V6 Syncro, first registered in December 1998.

It was replaced at a Volkswagen dealership more than 2 years ago. It was very expensive due to the labor costs for removing and reinstalling the bumper.

Now I wanted to try it myself (I guess the warranty or goodwill policy is no longer applicable).

Can I seal the nozzle myself, or do I need a new one? (I only wanted to remove the bumper once.)

Please answer quickly; I have time to craft/work on something tomorrow.

Buy a new one; those leaky ones are notorious, and there are updated versions available now. Hopefully, that will solve the problem for good.

I've also heard that leaky nozzles are a general problem. In my BMW (E46 Cabrio), I already had one leaking nozzle (but it was covered under warranty;). So, in my case (with two cars), I've already had three leaking nozzles .

I hope you are right and the modified ones last longer .

Yes, we haven't experienced any further issues since the changes were made.
